Working for Worcester

Working for Worcester, a student-created, student-led nonprofit that builds recreational spaces in order to create hope and opportunity for Worcester’s children and families. The one sentence history: it was in a dorm room at the College of the Holy Cross that two rising juniors came up with the idea to mobilize the college student community of Worcester; in ten years more than a million dollars raised and invested, more than 10,000 volunteers, and more than 150 built projects! For 11 years I have had the joy of getting to know AMAZING college students who are compassionate and committed to our city of Worcester. For 11 years I have had the joy of volunteering with them to build playgrounds, STEAM rooms, raised gardens, and blacktop games.
