Do we STILL need the ERA?                                                                                                                                                                                    After more than a generation of significant advances for women, do we still need the Equal Rights Amendment? The answer is an unqualified yes! Legal sex discrimination is not yet a thing of the past, and the progress of the past 60 years is not irreversible. The powerful 2016 documentary directed by Kamala Lopez, Equal Means Equal, looks at the legal and cultural status of women in the United States today, and presents a compelling argument for ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment.                                                                                                                                                                                                 Warning: This film presents difficult subject matter in regards to racism, rape and sexual assault, domestic violence, and sex trafficking. Viewer discretion is advised.
